Whisky Winner announced

The Whisky draw was made on Saturday with the winner being Gordon Brown. Bottle was presented by Lesley Lumsden. Once again many thanks to Bill & Lesley and also all the purchasers who helped us reach our £500 target. You are all stars!

Tell all your whisky loving friends!

Unfortunately Cousland Smiddy has had several large, unexpected urgent expenses such as a burst oil tank during the winter, which has depleted our running funds, so this excellent prize has come along with perfect timing……...

Thanks to a very kind donation, an opportunity has arisen to win this very special, rare bottle of whisky worth and personally signed by Dr Bill Lumsden. Tickets are £5 each and limited to 100.

Glenmorangie Spios (Gaelic word for ‘spicy’) is the first Single Malt Scotch to be wholly matured in ex-American Rye casks. Its flavour profile is a subtle blend of Glenmorangie’s creamy finesse and some of the bolder, spicier flavours of Rye whiskey.

It’s a limited release and has already sold out from the Company and is the 9th release in the Glenmorangie Private Edition range.

Hot off the press, it has just won the Trophy for best non-aged single malt at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC).

On sale at Community Café 5th May, throughout May as long as they are still available and will be drawn at the Café & Plant Sale on 2nd June.
